Last night, on the 70th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge and 130th birthday of Gen. George S. Patton, I WAS THERE Founder and Executive Director Ben Patton presented at a Luxembourg American Chamber of Commerce event honoring Staten Island Veterans.
Ben spoke passionately about the need to honor Veterans and listen to their stories. He screened the powerful IWT workshop film “Reconnecting” for the Battle of the Bulge Vets in attendance.
A truly appropriate way to celebrate Veterans Day, and a reminder that Veterans’ stories should be heard every day.
